STD and ED
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and erectile dysfunction (ED) both are the sexual problems found very commonly throughout the world. The main difference is that STDs is found in men as well as women but ED is found only in men, it is also termed as male impotence. STDs are transmittable disease, whereas ED is not contagious. Thus, now as the differences in the STD and ED are clear, we will turn towards the latest topic of research that is much talked and a lot of research is also going to know the relation between ED and STD.
STD
Sexually transmitted diseases are mostly the diseases caused by the infections from some microorganisms that are then transmitted from one person to another when they have a sexual contact. Vagina and annular region are the parts in women and penile region and annular region in men are the parts of human body that are affected by the sexually transmitted diseases. But, in case of oral sex the infection can even transform to the different parts of the body. The most common infections that are found to infect the intimate parts of the human body are Chlamydia, genital herpes, genital warts, gonorrhea, etc.
ED
Erectile dysfunction is the condition faced by the men when they consistently fail in either getting the erection or sustaining the erection during the sexual activity. The inadequate supply of the blood to the penis during the sexual activity is found to the main cause of the erectile dysfunction in men. Peripheral Vascular Disease Structural damage to the penis, Peyronie’s disease, high cholesterol, heart disease, renal failure, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, and others lead to the damage of the contractile walls of the veins, and provoke hardening, narrowing, or blockages of the arteries leading to the erectile dysfunction.
Neither STD cause ED nor ED cause STD. But, please take a good care from both these disease because they can adversely affect your sex life.
